Steve grew up in the early 80's listening to "big hair bands" and was later inluenced by Grunge. Music that he is currently writing reflects on recent experiences and current sounds that have been compared to Ben Harper and Jack Johnson. Steve uses a Boss RC-50 looping system that he is obsessed with and has been live looping percussive beats, bass and rhythm guitar sounds from his guitar . It gives him the ability to play lead guitar over rhythm tracks he creates live, NO RECORDED TRACKS! He plays a 2004 Takamine Acoustic made from maple with a cedar top. The cedar gives a warm natural sound to match vocals and the maple resonates for the tapping. He also will throw in a 1957 Gibson J-50 Jumbo Acoustic that has been re-fretted several times to create a throwback sound. Live performance is through an Edirol digital mixer into a set of Mackie SRM450 speakers which produce plenty of sound even at outdoor venues.
